I'm planning on going to the philippines to have a shopping spree, is it better to go there (i'm in australia, plane fees, etc. aren't a problem) or to shop online? if you choose going to philippines, places to shop please. :) if you choose shopping online, websites please. :) please and thanks you, cheers.

What is a good shopping cart software to use?
Q. I know there are a lot of shopping carts out there. Here is the deal. 1) I already have a web site and a host. 2) I have a paypal account. I am going to use paypal to accept credit cards. I just need a low cost shopping cart software that has shipping options, taxes, old / new product prices, unlimited products and looks good and not cheap looking. I do not know html. I use Frontpage 2003 to build my web site. I just need a shopping cart software that will have a nice looking format already setup to add my products. Note: I am not offering files to download. When do you start shopping for your kids clothes from the adult section?
Q. My eldest daughter is 13, almost 14 and just started 9th grade. I still shop for her from the girls section. When I saw her new friends today, they dress like 20 yr olds! Aren't 13-14yr olds still little girls? I don't want her to get influenced by them and dress like a 20yr old. What is the appropriate age for kids to start shopping from the adults section? I thought it to be around 16-17?

A. At the age of thirteen or fourteen they shouldn't be aloud to only shop at little girls stores, as they technically aren't 'kids' anymore. No matter how much you wish or hope to believe that they are, they aren't. Reality is now a factor and most kids around that age do dress far to old for how they should be dressing. Though- that doesn't mean you should restrict your daughter from shopping at all the trendy teenage stores if that's what she prefers or if shes willing to pay with her own money. At thirteen or fourteen I wouldn't necessarily go out and take her to high fashion adult stores but you could start showing her the juniors and teenage sections by now. Keep in mind- this is my own opinion and it's truly up to you and your daughter… [cont.]

How do shopping trolleys grind to a halt when they cross the red line?
Q. I've never tried to steal a shopping trolley (why would you want to?) but I have seen that sticker on them that warns that the trolley will stop immediately when it crosses the red line. Is this true, and if so, how does it work please?

"The introduction of a hi-tech preventative measure aims to reduce the problem and Sainsbury s has committed to installing a new electronic security system which will prevent people from taking the trolleys off site. The system works on a radio signal transmitted from within the Horsham store via a sunken wire which will surround the car park and be marked by a highly visible red line. All trolleys will be fitted with a device within the wheels and if trolleys are pushed over the wire, a brake comes on and the trolley can no longer be easily pushed. The brake is de-activated and the trolley can be wheeled once it is pushed back inside the car park boundary."

A. It's been a long time since I set it up, but I believe as soon as you try to go to the iTunes store through iTunes or when you first try to buy something you'll basically have to set up an account (all regular questions asked) and set up some form of credit or debit card payment. After that whenever you click you want to buy certain songs or albums they'll immediately download and your card will be charged within a day or so.

How exactly are shopping cart child restraints supposed to work?
Q. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I really don't understand how they are *supposed* to work. I can sit my son in the shopping cart, adjust the belt around his waist, clip it, and it does absolutely nothing to keep him from climbing out. So, how is that one waist belt supposed to actually act as a restraining device?

A. I think in order to get the restraint to work correctly, you have to squish your child against the hard metal rails and snap him in with barely any breathing room. Seriously I dont know, but that seems like the only logical way. Even though it doesnt seem right.

A. i believe that the food will be cheaper. maybe 20cent less..depends on where you go... the food in KL are quite expensive as there's many foreigners and tourists so they tend to be a little more expensive at times. if you're asking about other objects, the prices will be pretty much the same...and again, the price varies from place to place depending on the popularity of the place. :)

A. For West Mall, you can start at $10,000 (TT) per month, in probably the worst location. I believe $15,000 is about the average for the decent spots. West Mall is on the upper end of the scale, Long Circular should be a fair bit less, but there are a *lot* of kiosks there. No idea about Movie Towne or other Western malls (or anywhere else in the country). Actually, I do remember a friend who rented a decent kiosk in Trincity, near the old Hi Lo entrance for about $7,000 monthly. This was atleast 3 years ago however.

A. Southcenter (now called Westfield) is my favorite, and has almost everything. I like SuperMall, too, but it's a bit small. If you're looking for some unique places, then Pike's Place has some REALLY awesome little shops and booths. Not to mention that it's a very important Seattle right of passage. I don't know of any shootings at Southcenter... that was at the Commons.
